About Me
I live in Lower Hutt, Wellington (and have for 99.9% of my life!) with my 4 awesome kiddies, Levi, Kira, Luca, and Brielle! I'm a registered nurse by trade, photographer by passion.
I absolutely love sunsets, coffee, baking (both the act of, and the noun!), a good worship anthem, planning/organising, and a healthy competition. Most weekends you'll find me photographing people, playing hockey (or watching my little people playing hockey!) singing at church, reorganising the toy baskets, in front of the computer screen editing photos, or attempting to watch Grey's without falling asleep!
My Story...
I first started really getting into photography when my first son was born. The thought of returning to a regular work week after maternity leave and paying somebody else to look after my son for more days than I could be with him just did not sit right with my heart. I got to thinking and experimenting, and dived into learning about photography. I have since spent endless hours to self-teach myself everything I know, as well as multiple various courses from some other amazing photographers. As life's seasons have come along and altered things, I have stopped working as a Registered Nurse and instead focus on raising my babies and have fallen in love with creating beautiful memories for people around being a full time mama!
I love telling a story through my lens - a session with me won't just give you frame-worthy photos for giving Grandma & Grandad at Christmas, but will provide a little snippet into the details of your season of life! I will absolutely unashamedly do goofy things to capture the sparkling giggle of your littlies if that's what it takes!
